In the beginning there was a shoe shop opened and run by a russian immigrant in Cambridge, Massachussets. His name was Abraham Hyde and the year was 1910 and “carpet slippers” was the main shoe-product on the shelves.

Before being recognized for their athletic shoes Saucony manufactured army boots for the U.S army during the II World War, produced the boot that was worn by the first U.S austronauts in space.

In 1977 Saucony establishes on the atheltic sportswear market after being recognized and celebrated by a number of athletic runners.

In 1981 Suacony introduced what was to become their most famous shoe-model; the Jazz O!
